Unique Work / Home apartment in Naples
This 18th century palazzo is a magnificent example of what is possible in an architect designed office and home combination, European style.
A mixture of the old and the new, Architect Antonio Guiseppe Martiniello has created a magnificent apartment to house his architectural practice and his home. His search led him to Naples, where a third-floor apartment had been abandoned for 80 years.
“Every room has a story. I preserved every old material I found.” Martiniello notes.
Bringing a modern style to the mix are the red acrylic sliding doors between certain rooms. Many furnishings are instantly recognisable classics by Charles and Ray Eames, Le Corbusier, Verner Panton, and Philippe Starck. Other pieces are more esoteric including assorted anonymous pieces from the 1970’s. Martiniello also commissioned custom designed pieces.
